Cats meow, birds tweet.
No longer! Our good friend Cowboy Cat, made famous on the Holy Fuck t-shirt bearing his likeness, has had a lot of downtime since we’ve been off the road and he’s set himself up on Twitter. Granted he hasn’t had all that much to say yet, but things will be picking up soon so watch out for his tweets.
Graham and Punchy are also tweeting. So if you’re into the mundane, here are your coordinates: Graham & Punchy.
In other non-virtual news, we’ll be coming back to Europe and the UK this spring (here are some pics of one of our more recent trips there). All the dates are on our MySpace. Looks like that tour will be followed by another swing through the U.S.A. before the summer. The details of that are still being worked out.
Most importantly, we’re still toiling away at our new record, but it’s almost done and we’re excited about it. If everything goes according to plan, provided there is a plan, it should be available somewhere around September of this year.

Day 8 - we’re in London! The lack of updates is a result of the fact that we’ve been hanging on for dear life. Like I mentioned last time, our van broke down after our show in Barcelona, conveniently on a bank holiday weekend. Thankfully we had some days off to work with, here’s what we pulled off:
- Sunday, 2 pm: took a taxi from Barcelona to Perpignan while Robbie stayed in Barcelona with the van. The taxi ride was this much fun:
- Sunday, 7 pm: after getting lost in Perpignan with a cabbie we couldn’t communicate with we managed to get our rental car and drive to Strasbourg.
- Monday, 4 am: arrived in Strasbourg, argued with the front desk clerk at the hotel and collapsed.
- Monday, 9 pm-ish: played in Strasbourg, ate a lot.
- Tuesday, 9 am: left for Paris, still no word on our decrepit van.
- Tuesday, 4 pm: arrived in Pairs, negotiated the crazy traffic circles and played our show while Robbie flew from Barcelona to London, got in a new van and started driving overnight from London to Paris.
- Wednesday, 10:30 am: Robbie, having not yet slept, picked us up in Paris and started driving back to London straight away.
- Wednesday, 7 pm: arrived at Koko in London!
Phew! Now to play our last show with !!!. Their show last night in Paris was absolutely blinding and tonight is there last show for a long while, so it should be a wild night. More to come…

Happy Halloween, it’s day one of our European tour and we’re in Madrid. Thanks to the magic of international travel we left Toronto last evening at 5 and arrived here this morning at 9. As a result everyone is sound asleep. Except me that is, I can’t sleep because I’m too excited about the bidet in our bathroom and I’m, um, waiting for a chance to use it. Full report to follow.
My main concern for today was not that our tour manager Robbie, whom we’d never met before, would show up late or without the van, but that he wouldn’t have a proper placard to greet us. No need for concern though, he came through:

Super pro. All signs point to a great tour.
Halloween as we know it doesn’t seem to be a big deal here so we’re going to have to get all Catholic and gear up for three days of All Saints celebrations. (We’re obviously saving our other All Saints celebrations for the UK.) Pray for us…
P.S. If you’re in Canada be sure to pick up the newest copy of Exclaim! - we managed to squeeze Matt inside a TV.
